This customer was having issues with their asphalt pushing up where the garage and driveway meet.
One of the most common causes of problems like this is poor subgrade compaction beneath the asphalt. When the ground underneath isn't properly compacted, water can collect in pockets below the surface. During the winter, that water freezes and expands, causing frost heave that can push the asphalt upward and create uneven areas.
We repaired the damaged section and addressed the issue to help prevent future problems. Check out the before & after!
